Where it all
comes from.

Every text, dataset, recording and photo in Buckler, with its source and the license it is used under.

Most of what you read in Buckler is in the public domain, mostly because it is old. We take the texts from the careful work of others, who are credited below, and set them in the Buckler reader. We may adjust formatting, markup and obvious typographical errors, but we do not rewrite the words.

“Public domain” here means public domain in the United States. Rights can differ in other countries, so a work free to use in one place may carry restrictions in another. Where we know of one, it is noted. Some datasets are open licenses that ask for credit or share-alike terms, and those are marked and linked.

Found a mistake, or a rights concern? Please tell us and we will look at it promptly.
