Buckler is a Bible reading and study app, built so that Scripture stays at the center.
Most study tools ask for your attention first and the text second. Buckler is built the other way around. You read, and the commentary, cross-references, original-language word study and your own notes are there when you reach for them, then out of the way when you do not.
It works the moment you open it, with no account. If you want your notes, highlights and place to follow you from one device to the next, you can sign in. Your study is yours, and you can export or delete it whenever you like.
The texts come from public-domain works and open datasets, and every one is credited on the Sources page.
The name
A buckler is a small shield, carried in the hand and always within reach.
